Oak Hill will offer two sections of Kindergarten and one section of 1st - 6th grade.

Lord willing, we are committed to adding an additional grade after each year until we offer kindergarten through eighth grade.
At this time, we aren’t able to speak to whether ninth through twelfth grades will be offered at this school, as that will be a decision for the school board at some future time. However, it is our strong desire to offer classes through eighth grade as soon as practicable, should the Lord provide the means to do so.

Oak Hill will be located at Hub in the Hills, a non-profit hub at the former location of Vestavia Central Elementary School (1289 Montgomery Hwy, Vestavia Hills, 35216).
We could not be more thrilled with this opportunity. It is in an incredibly strategic location for the communities we intend to serve, filled with beautiful partners like Unless U, Alabama Game Changers, and Redemption Hill Church, and equipped with elementary school amenities, such as a gym, sizable classrooms, and outdoor play areas. -
The 2026-2027 annual tuition amount is $7,500 per student for all grades.
We encourage families to contribute the full tuition amount during summer 2026 to assist the school’s financial position; however, we do intend to provide several options for splitting tuition payments across the school year.
Given that Oak Hill Classical Academy is an independent organization, the operating expenses of the school will need to be funded by a mixture of tuition and fundraising. Charitable gifts to Oak Hill Classical Academy can be made through our donor-advised fund with National Christian Foundation at this giving link: Give to Oak Hill.
-
We do not anticipate providing tuition assistance during the first year, as fundraising efforts will need to focus on the operations of the school.
That said, please do not let financial barriers prevent you from connecting with us. Our desire is to make Oak Hill Classical Academy available to as many families as possible, and it is possible that future grants or charitable gifts enable tuition assistance opportunities earlier than anticipated.

School hours are Monday - Thursday from 8:30am - 1:30pm.
We seek to be great stewards of each moment of the school day, focusing on the essentials and allowing space in our children’s day for family and childhood play. Fridays are reserved for reinforcing concepts at home, as well as engaging in wonder and curiosity: take a hike with a nature group, build a bird house, get lost in a book about space. As the school expands into higher grades, those hours may possibly expand to include Fridays, as best fits the needs of the school.
The school day will include a mixture of focused academic instruction, movement and hands-on activities, singing, small group interactions, outside play, and lunch.

As a Christ-centered school, students are taught to see how math, science, English, Latin, and even art and music affect one another and, more importantly, are guided in what each of these subjects reveal about the person and nature of God.
Practically speaking, classical Christian education consists of integrated learning, an emphasis on memory work across all subjects, a strong phonological base for reading, exposure to great books and primary texts, Latin language study, a robust grammar and writing program, and gospel-application in every subject. History and Bible are taught in a cyclical pattern. For example, students are introduced to the Old Testament stories in kindergarten, return to them more in depth in second through fourth grades, and then approach them with even more detail in the logic years.

While all primary teaching positions have been filled, we are still looking for a Latin teacher! We will also be assembling a roster of substitute teachers. If you are interested in teaching at Oak Hill, please email us to request a teacher application form.

At this time, Oak Hill Classical Academy intends to operate independently from any local church, not as a ministry of a church.
This position comes from our deep love for the local church, a desire to promote a charitable spirit of Christian liberty regarding school choice for the members of our various churches, and a goal to uphold the school board as the authoritative, accountable body for school decisions.
